Before I worked under my married name, I went by Christianne Edblad. If you’re from the area you might remember that name from when I was Queen Silver Star in 2012 or from the running community. I completed several long-distance races including the Elk Valley 50 km Ultra, and running has shaped a lot of how I show up in my work life. It taught me patience, resilience, and how to keep going when things feel messy or uncertain. Those lessons translate surprisingly well into construction and accounting.

Recently I’ve been shifting more into the tech side of finance. I’m learning SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Python and exploring how analytics can be used in construction and housing. I really believe the future of accounting is moving in a more data-driven direction, and I’m excited to be building that skill set.

This space is where I’ll share what I’m working on and what I’m learning. Sometimes it will be about construction finance or Indigenous housing programs. Other times it will be about internal controls, operations, or the mindset that ties everything together. And sometimes I’ll talk about running because it continues to shape how I approach life and work.
